Spring Home Refresh: How to Bring NYC Chic Into Your Space

There is something about spring in New York that makes you want to hit reset. Your wardrobe, your routines, your apartment. Maybe it is the flowers starting to show up along Fifth Avenue, the Madison Avenue windows getting brighter, or the simple fact that the light stays a little longer and suddenly you remember you are allowed to have standards again.

Spring is the perfect excuse to refresh your space, and in New York, inspiration is basically a sport. When I want my Chelsea apartment to feel a little more polished, a little more intentional, and slightly less like I am using my dining table as a second desk, these are the places I go.

ABC Carpet and Home – 📍 888 Broadway, New York, NY 10003

ABC Carpet and Home is the quickest way to feel instantly inspired. It is a multi level wonderland of furniture, rugs, and home accents that reads like a luxury penthouse, but in a way that still feels warm and collected. You do not need a trust fund to enjoy it. The smaller pieces are where the magic is, candles, vases, tableware, those little touches that make a room feel finished.

I just love their one of a kind drinkware. There are so many beautiful individual styles to choose from. The store feels like an art gallery. Even if you do not buy a thing, you will leave with ideas. Also, it is dangerously close to Union Square, which means I usually end up at The Cure Thrift Shop afterwards for a little thrift store heaven.

New York flower school

New York Flower School📍 213 W 14th St, New York, NY 10011

Technically not a store, but hear me out. New York Flower School is the place to learn how to create the kind of lush arrangements you see in the windows of Upper East Side boutiques. If you want to master a centerpiece for spring hosting, or simply learn how to arrange tulips so they look effortless and not like you panic bought them, this is the place.

I would recommend a weekend florist class so you can craft your own arrangements.
To me, fresh flowers change a room instantly. Arranging them yourself feels more personal, and it is surprisingly cost effective once you know what you are doing.

CB2 New York

CB2 Soho📍 451 Broadway, New York, NY 10013

For modern, minimal pieces that still feel warm and inviting, CB2 in SoHo is my go to. From sleek vases to textured throw pillows, it is an easy place to find spring refresh pieces that work in small spaces, which is important when your apartment is doing three jobs at once.

These textured throw pillows in seasonal pastels and the handmade simple white vases for spring blooms caught my eye last weekend. These went straight to the top of my wish list. This place is contemporary without feeling cold, and the price point is reasonable for the quality. It is also an easy stop after brunch in SoHo, which is how most of my shopping decisions begin.

Anthropologie Chelsea Markets New York

Anthropologie📍 Chelsea Market – 75 9th Ave, New York, NY 10011

Anthropologie is the kind of store that makes you want to redecorate your entire apartment every time you walk in. The Chelsea Market location is one of my favourites. It is filled with candles, textured pillows, woven baskets, and vintage inspired decor that adds warmth and personality fast. I always find myself gravitating toward the ceramic mugs, floral bedding, and statement mirrors that make a small space feel more lived in and a little more special. They also do some of the best smelling candles, including Capri Blue Volcano, which has no business being that addictive.

I always end up drawn to the colourful ceramic kitchen accessories, the little floral berry baskets, the stoneware plates, and those contrasting scalloped wine glasses. It is boho chic in the best way, and the displays are always mesmerising. The Chelsea Market location also feels like an experience because the building has that historic New York texture you cannot fake.

DYPTIQUE madison avenue

Diptyque📍 971 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10021

If you want your home to smell like a very expensive hotel suite, Diptyque is the shortcut. Spring is the perfect time to switch up your scent, and I love anything in the rose and fig family this time of year, light, fresh, and quietly chic.

Baies (Berries)
Classic Candle

The Baies candle is my go to for a fruity floral scent that makes an apartment feel instantly elevated. Yes, it is a splurge, but it doubles as decor and the store experience is half the fun. It feels like a little slice of Paris sitting on Madison Avenue.

Jung Lee New York

Jung Lee📍 25 W 29th St, New York, NY 10001

If you have ever dreamed of hosting a dinner party that looks like a glossy editorial, Jung Lee is where you go. The store is curated to perfection, with tableware, glassware, and home accessories that instantly elevate a space. Think delicate porcelain plates, sculptural vases, linen napkins that make a tablescape feel intentional, and objects that somehow make you want to become the kind of person who has people over on a weeknight.

This store is right downstairs from my apartment, and across from the Ace Hotel where I get my morning coffee, so I get daily inspiration from here. Even if it is just admiring the window display while I wait for my coffee.

I love the engraved New York votive for a little NYC ambience, and the gold trimmed dinner plates if you want your table to look like an Architectural Digest spread, with the honest disclaimer that I admire them more than I purchase them. Do not miss the marble cheese boards either, because a good charcuterie situation never goes out of style. Jung Lee is all about elevated essentials, and even a small purchase feels like a meaningful upgrade. Walking in makes me feel like I should be hosting a dinner party in a Tribeca loft, which is how you know a store is doing its job.

Happy spring shopping. If you spot any other dreamy home decor stores while you are out and about, tell me. You know I am always on the hunt for new places to browse.

P.S. This post contains affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you make a purchase at no extra cost to you. I promise I only recommend products and brands that I truly adore. Think of it as a little way to support my shopping habit so I can keep sharing all my favorite finds with you.
